What a wonderful experience it was, to be in the Montreal Mission Church, and experience the bilingual Sunday school and church service! We went back to the house, where Caleb and I prepared a fruit salad while the rest of the food was being prepared. We then headed to the park, where there were lots of memorable and funny experiences such as various items being thrown in the pond, including a soccer ball, balloon, apple, etc. Alexander thought it was great fun to throw things in the pond. There was also the father close by who was blowing up balloons for his daughter ‘s birthday party, we commented on his patience as he was blowing up many balloons. And there was the vaguely Indian family nearby who were cooking up barbecue, Caleb and the visiting brother from Alexandria kept joking about stealing their barbecue and running off with it. I got to go over to Jean Coutu, which is like our Walgreens only better, and bought some things. Then in the evening we drove to roxton falls, discussing personalities and singing along the way. We arrived at church a little early. Still wanting to sing another song, Michael, Sabrina and I sang Just For a Day in the parking lot. A memorable time for sure. The little Roxton Falls Church is nestled in the trees in a beautiful area of Quebec, and they opened the windows to the beautiful evening outside.
I hope I never forget the beautiful singing as it rang in that little church, and Julian belting out the one French song beside me. One memorable song was Ô, Prends Mon Âme. I talked to Starla Unruh, my sister Karalee’s Window Rock sister, after church. Some of us youth went into town and bought ice cream(where I attempted to order in Français) which was fun. After that we hiked down to roxton falls. Michael’s picked us up in town and we headed back to the city.
